Man and Nature in the Novel of Marius Katiliškis "The Autumn Comes Through the Forests" There is analysis of the human and nature elements in Marius Katiliškis novel The autumn comes through the forests (Miškais ateina ruduo) (1957). As for the human elements, the focus is on the main protagonists of the novel (Tilius, Doveika, Agnė and Monika`s) passions, emotions, mindset. As for the nature elements, the focus is on the air, earth, water and fire. The order is to clarify whether the nature or the man in the novel are unity, or nature determines the fate of the novel characters. The aim of this work is to open another view at the work opportunities through the four main characters of the novel and the analysis of nature elements. To achieve this goal, several challenges were raised: firstly, to select theoretical material and appropriate quatations of the novel for the argument, then carefully explore the human and nature elements. The work has shown that man and nature in the novel affect each other and make the unity. However, it was possible to make sure that nature, as a higher power than man's, does not determine his fate. It is expected that this work, almost sixty years after the novel The autumn comes through the forests (Miškais ateina ruduo) was written, will reveal another interesting viewpoint of this novel, will make re-open it and will possibly invite to the discussion
